OKX is also a trusted brand by hundreds of large institutions seeking access to crypto markets. We are safe and reliable, backed by our Proof of Reserves. Across our multiple offices globally, we are united by our core principles: We Before Me, Do the Right Thing, and Get Things Done. These shared values drive our culture, shape our processes, and foster a friendly, rewarding, and diverse environment for every OK-er. You take each partnership from signed intent to live, growing volume. You are the person accountable to the client and to every OKX team involved: Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Institutional Coverage. The role itself is global. You report to the Global Head of Strategic Partnerships. What You'll Be Doing Commercial Project Coordination. You act as the central instance coordinating the execution of commercial projects with strategic partners within the Strategic Partnerships team, effectively ensuring timely delivery of high-scale projects and ensuring the transfer of knowledge between the individual SP members who act as primary relationship managers to Strategic Partners. You are a main contact for the client's decision makers and project sponsors throughout the entire lifecycle. You run steering meetings, manage expectations, resolve escalations, and nurture relationships with decision makers. Solution implementation. With Product and Engineering, you turn the commercial agreement into a delivery plan. That covers the integration model, custody and settlement flows, fiat and stablecoin rails, and reporting. You own scope, timelines, and trade-offs. When a client requirement needs a product decision or custom work, you work with product teams to ensure alignment with the product roadmap and you make sure the commercial value merits any custom builds. Regulatory and compliance alignment. You coordinate due diligence, KYB, outsourcing assessments and regulatory notifications between OKX Compliance and the client's compliance and risk teams, so that regulatory requirements on either side do not hold up go-live. Handover. a partnership is live and stable, you hand it to the Institutional Relationship Managers with documented terms, technical setup, open items and ramp targets. You stay accountable until they accept the handover. Portfolio and reporting. You leverage AI to run and coordinate several complex projects at the same time. You report status, risks, expected and realized business impact to SIP leadership and keep pipeline and project records up to date. Feedback into origination. You share what you learn in implementation so SIP structures better deals. Over time, you originate and close partnerships of your own. Team building. As deal flow grows, you help build a small delivery team of project managers and solution engineers. Fortune and Fortune Media IP Limited are not affiliated with, and do not endorse products or services of GitLab. An overview of this role We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Change Record team within GitLab’s Source Code stage. As AI agents increasingly write code alongside people, every change needs a clear, trustworthy record of what changed, why, and who or what made it. You’ll build that record into GitLab’s source code experience, for humans and agents alike. This is a backend-focused role for an engineer with full-stack experience who enjoys balancing work on existing systems with new product development. That work happens in of GitLab’s oldest and most complex product areas, where you’ll use Ruby on Rails to improve a critical system serving GitLab.com, self-managed instances, and GitLab Dedicated. Source Code provides the interface layer, through Gitaly, to the Git repositories behind a large share of GitLab traffic, so you’ll help keep it reliable through performance tuning, caching, rate limiting, observability, and resiliency, collaborating with product, design, security, Gitaly, Code Review, and Source Code Experience teams. Supporting production systems and improving established experiences are central to the role, especially while you’re, and over time you’ll also help build experiences for developers working with agents. You'll work remotely from the United Kingdom or Poland. What you’ll do Develop secure, well-tested, performant features and improvements using Ruby on Rails and GraphQL, among other technologies. Work through complex requirements and legacy constraints to deliver clear solutions while protecting the reliability of this critical system. Design and maintain backend services, APIs, data models, and business logic that support intuitive source code workflows. Collaborate across functions and teams, both asynchronously and synchronously, and involve domain experts when their input will improve the outcome. Use AI agents for well-scoped work when they can speed up delivery without sacrificing quality, and critically review their output. Write maintainable code that follows GitLab's standards and contribute to constructive code reviews. Help strengthen reliability by monitoring production health metrics, participating in Tier 2, troubleshooting incidents, contributing to root cause analysis, and improving observability and resiliency. Share knowledge through code review, technical documentation, and everyday collaboration while learning from others. What you’ll bring Professional experience building backend web applications, services, or application programming interfaces, with experience using Ruby and GraphQL. An understanding of relational databases, structured query language, data modeling, caching, background processing, and backend performance practices. Experience with full-stack development to build and maintain user-facing workflows and their underlying systems. Experience writing backend unit and integration tests, with familiarity with the testing pyramid, Git, and collaborative code review processes. Clear written and spoken English communication skills, including sharing useful status updates in a remote, asynchronous environment. The ability to manage assigned priorities, work through ambiguity, take ownership of your work, and seek guidance when needed. Experience using AI coding agents to speed up software development while critically reviewing their output. Bonus: you’ve built agents or agent-based workflows that run in production, not just prototypes. About the team The functional team works across Europe and North America, supporting both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration. It includes four engineers, comprising both backend and frontend engineers. We work closely with other Source Code teams, Agentic Preview, Repository Services, and Hardening, as well as other teams in the company such as the Gitaly team, and the AI Governance team. You'll build and improve the tools, applications, and infrastructure that support field team demos, workshops, trials, and internal test environments across the field. What makes this role unique is its mix of software engineering, infrastructure, and customer-facing collaboration. What you'll do Build and maintain tools, applications, and workflows that support demos, workshops, trials, and internal test environments. Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools to shorten investigation time when something breaks. Comfort communicating and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Sales, Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Marketing, UX, and Engineering. Understanding of how to design and iterate on solutions for usability and repeatability, not just technical correctness, with awareness that the end user may be a seller or Solutions Architect. Ability to operate independently in a remote, asynchronous environment, with willingness to travel periodically for team offsites and occasional in-person planning/whiteboarding sessions. Exposure to technical demos, workshops, trials, or enablement assets, and/or interest in learning the pre-sales context; transferable experience from software engineering, site reliability engineering, systems engineering, solutions architecture, or similar technical paths.
